Talpines takes community action on various subjects, including:
- Lake water levels
- Water quality
- Conservation efforts
- Phragmites control & other invasive & noxious weed issues
- TayTrail upkeep, issues & improvements
- Community safety
- Information about

- septic inspection
- municipal services
What we Do
- We sample and test Sturgeon Bay water to determine safe recreational use.
- We advocate at municipal, provincial and federal offices (click HERE to see a list of municipal contacts, bylaws and Council meetings)
- We inform and educate Trail users to encourage safe, healthy trail use
- We issue frequent Newsletters to keep members informed (click HERE to see a sample newsletter/water report)
- Launched & maintain the Pine street garden
- Launched a stump art project along the Tay Trail in Waubaushene
- Perform annual cleanup on the Tay Trail in Waubaushene
- Participate in the annual Waubaushene Santa Clause Parade
- Distribute Halloween treats each year at the community garden in veteran’s Park on pine street
- Hold an annual Block Party and Annual Board Meeting
- Seasonal decorations at the 2 Waubaushene entrances in conjunction with the Tay horticultural society
- Members often contribute to the Food Pantry in the Community Garden
